Winnipeg has a new reason to visit The Leaf

The Leaf has unveiled its latest exhibit, the Garden of Healing, available from today until September 8. This new display, created by Indigenous designers Carmen Grey and Mamie Griffith, along with Wade Meisner, Assiniboine Park’s Horticulture Curator, showcases medicinal and sacred plants in a modern floral installation.

The exhibit not only provides a space for personal healing and connection to the land but also honors the resilience of Indigenous peoples through the acknowledgment of the impacts of colonialism. It features a mix of local and culturally significant plants, illustrating the enduring link between nature and cultural heritage globally.
